This has all rather got out of hand. Thankfully someone has now seen sense and removed all Extinction people from London and banned their return.
Ms Thunberg is clearly being 'managed', as she has been all along to create her 'media persona'. The way she speaks and her facial expressions contain a lot - and unnatural amount, of anger, maybe she is being coached in that too.
She is however a 'construct' for a purpose and she obviously enjoys being used in this way. I see parallels with CP and part of that is the 'god complex' which is a known and well described 'symptom trait' of aspergers. I would characterise her as a sad creation of thoughtless or selfish parents and she will be a very poor human being in later life unless someone draws a line under 'her' 'campaining' . I think she is alarmist but you cant tell these people anything - CP doesnt listen - its part of the 'act', being 'god' does not permit contrary opinions.

The point is. We are destroying our rock to the point of no repair. Whether you believe in climate change or not.. (there's plenty of data to credit the idea).. is beyond the point. I don't want to argue that, for most of us here, who are not scientists and have zero access to real data, arguing human climate change is like arguing for or against the existence of any given deity. Its pointless.

However, pollution and habitat destruction is real. and that is something we should look to resolving as a species, that problem is man made... Sht needs to be done on a global scale.

What I think is uncalled for is to resort to name calling and other schoolyard bullying tactics to argue something you in reality know nothing about. So the girl has aspergers, so what. The fact is that almost every genius that existed suffered from some kind of mental illness. There's a fine line between the two.

Now, before someone says she's no genius, I am not saying she is. But she's passionate about something. Good for her. When was the last time any of us were that passionate about something? Never?
I don't see anyone writing off Sir Issac Newton for being mentally ill.

The fact is I don't care what anyone believes.
I would enjoy a good debate where people argue with data.
