If you have any sort of walk in also dragging a deer ( if that is what you are waiting for) you will cook...

You could take it with you but putting it on over boots is a pain...

Deerhunter rusky keeps you well toasty even on snowy Croatian nights. Tim243 is right in that unless it is very cold you'll cook walking and dragging in it but worth having for the right occasion. On the plus side Sportsman Gun Centre often has them at a discount. Hope this helps.

Bought mine for a bargain from SGC and with the zip/press studs down the legs it’s not too bad to put on/take-off but as other OPs have said, don’t even think about walking in them let alone anything else! A real lifesaver if you are stupid enough to go out in the depths of winter and sit out exposed where there’s a biting wind.

One thing that will go over boots are firemans trousers, I had them for ferreting, you could roll them up in a ruck sack.

Had a rusky for sitting out when I was at Cornbury Park syndicate, very good for keeping you warm, not so good for walking in, but we were always picked up by Jim in the " Die Laughing " as he called, it fourtrack to you and me, happy days, all change now.

I find a bib ( or Salopette, same thing..) great for really cold winters days and to sit in a high seat, the advantage being you don't get your shirt/jumper creeping up and exposing your lower back....they are lovely warm and comfy. I use a Nomad Salopette, new they're around £370, but if you can find a used one in a good condition...

Probably should have said shortish walk in 10 - 15 minutes sat out for fox only, do tidy up after , seem like rusky will be very warm anyone know anything about muflon ones , as said like idea of back and kidney area been covered hence the idea of getting bib style thermal

Got the fishing equivalent called the Trakker Arctic suit. Great for sitting out in sub zero but not so good trying to get on a quad.

As above walking in high seat thermal geer is awfull. Way too hot if the theremals are any good

I over came it with a blanket

I wanted one of these, but its expensive

Carinthia Loden Sleeping Blanket for Hunting, Fishing, Outdoor, Camping and Outdoor: Amazon.co.uk: Sports & Outdoors{creative}&hvpos={adposition}&hvnetw=o&hvrand={random}&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl={devicemodel}&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4583795266850524&psc=1

So I went for the Snugpak Jungle blanket

Very impressed with its small profle when packed, light weight and thermal quility
