Aldi have Wildlife cameras for sale at £69.99.

Can anyone, from personal experience, offer an opinion on these.

Thanks.

Afternoon TS.

Having bought (for a laugh) a few optics products from Aldi/Lidl to see how good they were I wouldn't bother if I were you. They are cheap sure, but very cheaply made too...

I would however suggest you look on Amazon at the Apeman range of cameras. You're not going to be troubling D Attenborough with the footage, but if you simply want to ascertain species, numbers, sex, size, entry/exit points etc they're ideal. The advantage is there are hundreds of user reviews/pictures and videos (youtube) that you can browse to see if one would suit you. There's also lots of reviews and start up guides on the 'Tube too.

Keep a look at the 'lightning deals' for extra savings. Think mine cost £34. Add some batteries and a £8 SD card and you're good to go.

Hope it helps :)

Sorry. Just to add Ive seen the make is Maginon. Their spotting scopes and bios are truly horrendous! You're also unlikely to need the bluetooth feature IMHO...

I run 5 of these cameras and they have been well worth the investment , I normally set mine to a short video run and check weekly. The detection range is more than adequate for my needs but be aware the ir is very visible at night so be careful where you site .I run my units on good quality rechargeable batteries as the ones supplied are junk and leak, the only modification I make is to tape up the joints/catches as sometimes you can get water ingress but that's it really a very reasonable camera for the money and if it gets nicked it's not the end of the world.
