Besides the registered dealers there are those that always have something to sell without being a trade dealer.
And agreed,at times its more like the Sales Directory.

True John, you just need to pay 6 quid every 3 months to become a site supporter then you can sell more on here than all the trade members put together.
I think trade membership is only a tenner a month! You can buy nearly everything on the SD including the kitchen sink FFS

Using an Adblocker, this is a way to unclutter displays, remove all advert/media top & side banners, and reformat pages.
On my Chromebook this edited version only takes up 3 screens. All the content is still there.
If anyone wants the control parameters as straight lines of text (easy & work universally) then send a PM.
I can't do anything about members Classifieds adverts, God knows how I've tried. The admin fix on NEW POSTS didn't work for me either.

Yes indeed (many thanks for helping!). Definitely NEW POSTS - the RHS lightning arrow. Tried umpteen variations too.
I even went through each subforum under CLASSIFIEDS, and set each to UNWATCH and MARKED (AS ALREADY READ).
There's a dynamic reset at work which flipped the settings back. New posts jumped the filters too.
Easier just to pick the Forums individually, to be absolutely sure.

Surely like most folk you just click past an ad without looking cause its just another ad?
Ad men must really be stupid.

When I spark up the site, anything new is in highlighted thicker green text .... why would I need see new posts option? Maybe this is why I didn't get this too many ads cack?

Adblock stops unsolicited 3rd party adverts.
It won't suppress the fixed banners on TSD automatically; only if you configure it in Advanced Mode.
Try swiching it on & off if you're not sure.

I do have a simple add blocker which is supposed to be just youtube, it has no controls or preferences, not even an on off.
