Problem is that they are not testing everyone, only if you have come from those high risk countries or been hospitalised with chronic symptoms. I’m pretty sure I picked it up in the Maldives possibly from some of the Italians there but as my condition is not acute, I have been self-isolating. No test, no result and no idea whether I did have it, whether I’m now clear or what. I suspect it’s actually quite rife out there but due to the limited testing being done, the statistics are artificially low! Wife has now gone down with it too, about a week after me - was a good holiday though

I got a real bad virus back in Feb. I had it for 2 weeks and actually had a day off work because of it. I planned a trip to Scotland in April, looks like it won’t happen, don’t know yet.
Here in Belgium they just announced the closing of restaurants and bars . Also no more lessons at school and if possible keep the children at home
Stores closed in the weekends , only essential store like food and pharmacy can open

Smoking nailed many more for years gone by, they wernt keen on big changes while the tax was rolling in.
It can last for days on hard surfaces, so makes you wonder about money.......coins!
If someone paid for snacks in a service station say £4 with pound coins, those could be given to four different people going to differing parts of the country. Worth thinking about.

I'm at the point (caring for a susceptible 90 yo) where I'm ensuring I have plenty of "pre virus" change on me, so I can pay the exact amount, plus I'm carrying alcohol based wipes for shopping trolley handles & my hands.
If you're concerned with coins, have the checkout assistant drop them in a plastic bag rather than handle them & once home, drop the bag in a bleach solution for 20 minutes, then rinse with very hot water.
Glad we have plastic notes now, as the old linen based ones were like germ magnets (I'll still be washing them though).

Australian F1 Grand Prix cancelled. People trying to get in today were told to nick off home. The F1 mob had a decision to make. Run the race with no spectators or cancel. Cancelled.

Don't worry, I think this disease is mostly spread through the internet, not the armpits.
