I spent yesterday gathering-up and burning all the knackered old wood from the shed doors I've been replacing around the yard. Also cleared an outbuilding so the wife can turn it into a hen coop, organised a dozen or so hay bales that we had delivered, shot another crow, checked the horses hooves, and burned the crap off half an acre of neglected pasture so we can get sheep on it when the grass comes through.

And in doing the above I've managed to completely knacker my knee

Well not quite so dramatic as that but I’ve cleaned the oven, checked and changed all light bulbs where needed. Created a new habitat for the leopard gecko (she couldn’t give a toss) sorted out my bench for the new reloading kit landing from mark 1967 spud this week.

attempting to start reloading now as I can’t get the factory ammo I use (barnes ttsx) so I have the components now so gonna give it a go.
Cleaned the work store room (twice). Serviced the excavator and attachments. Got two roe to butcher next week that are in the chiller and that will be me I think

Just had another job reminder.

Clean all the aircon units/ fans and bits in the bedrooms, (pain in the Rs) got to switch them off and then clean prime and then back together, so when thats done, back in the garage roof me thinks.

Got a load of bang and olfson hi fi bits that need to go spares or repairs, 2 old tv’s and more radio gear than soft mick to sort out,

I have 2 english partridges to get out for tea, with some home chopped frozen veg and tatties with some light gravey, mmmmmm

I think i’ll Need this later ;)

Bob.

Woodsmoke: you need to chill now, i have a knee brace from my replacement days if you need it?

Thursday and Friday i worked out in the forest with the brush cutter and last night sat out for a boar. It blew a gale, snowed and was bloody cold. Not a sniff of a boar. So today I'm having a lazy day. I cleaned the Mauser and ran a oiled mop through all the other gun barrels and gave them a wipe over. I also lifted the dinks on the double rifle stock that it acquired last season. Steam iron and a multi folded damp tea towel worked a treat. Now I'm taking it easy ready for work tomorrow

Thanks mate. Wish I could! Mind you. I only have 20 yards or so of fencing to post out today and that'll be it for the time being, I reckon.

Appreciate the offer of the brace, thank you! I'm doing OK though, as my left limp now cancels out my right one and I can manage a straight-ish line now

Before and after pics. 11/2 days spent in the man cave can’t see a difference.o_O

Now in the process of taking photos of all my serial numbers on my guns as I’m up for renewal and the FEO has done a phone interview and now just has to check my guns and storage- had my 308 variation verbally approved to!:) Only good thing to come out of this pandemic!

I've been trying to fix the quad brakes I mentioned previously - and a starting problem. The latter I solved by reading the manual and finding a kick start handle in the 'never before seen' toolbox. The latter looks an autumn / winter job, so just sprayed releasing fluid all over the cables and pedal pivot bolt. That worked but since its a 4*4 I have to do front and back brakes and that requires 'skirting' off and brake hubs as well.
Still a satisfying temp fix. Since I missed a rabbit in the garden last week, I've been setting up the .22 for the seasonal invasion. 1" high and right was enough to miss a head shot but now perfect. Also replaced 2 double galzing units that had failed and thus run out of supplies and still 2 to do. Veg garden on Monday.

A bit of bread punch size 24 and you could spend a morning on your sideboard.
