Greetings from South Carolina, USA

I was referred to this forum from the African Hunting Forum. I'm considering a hunt in Scotland or England for myself, my father, my soin, and perhaps a friend or two once this Covid beast settles down.

I'm a retired Air Force officer, previously enlisted, and am now wrapping up my 9th, and last, year teaching at a high school as my post-retirement job. I lived in England for 4 years, RAF Bentwaters near Ipswich , as a child and later was stationed at RAF Upper Heyford, living in Middle Barton near Oxford, with my wife and daughter...and our son was born in Banbury. I regret not making time to hunt while there, but we were only there a year before being transferred to Germany. I've hunted all over the USA, including a couple of years in Alaska, and made two trips to South Africa. I enjoy hunting Whitetail Deer, wild boar, turkeys, and small game in South Carolina and fly fishing for trout. In my precious spare time I make split bamboo fly rods.

I look forward to learning from you all...

Welcome from the great state of Wyoming

Welcome to SD, one of the best engineering tutors I had was Ex RAF, he was 6’4, 20 stone and built like a bull, he was temper and sense of humour in equal measure. Forget having a board rubber thrown at you though, he would think nothing of throwing a 20lb angle plate at you if he though you needed a bit more focus!

Welcome to the site. All of my American clients for Scotland this year have rebooked for 2021 due to the Covid19 restrictions in the UK. However I have managed to re fill the void with English clients.
Hopefully next year will see some normality back to life. In the meantime enjoy the site and keep safe.

Firstly, thank you for your service. Secondly, welcome to the site. I once had the pleasure of visiting Charleston and loved it, and have served with many ‘allies’ from across the Pond.
