Largest House Spider?

I know that you can get some really big house spiders (Tegenaria Species), especially at this time of the year when the males are out looking for a mate. I spotted tims big guy on our Buddleia this evening - He has a leg span of between 10 and 11 cm. I certainly would not want to find him hovering around my bed!
Here are a couple of photos of him, so what's the largest one you have come across?

Strange how they appear to know the best hunting grounds, at this time of year the buddleia, at least here, are teeming with butterflies, bugs, flies, etc;

Your pictures of 'him', are actually portraits of Her.
The girls in the arachnid word are the bruisers. Poor little chap - out for a hot date - can easily end up as lunch, if she don't fancy ya.

Found a decent one on the landing last night. Normally the terrier does for them but this one was upstairs. Tbh I just leave them and don’t mind seeing them about but the missus is hysterical about them and all hell breaks lose so I just have to pick them up and chuck them outside. Haven’t the heart to tell her they come back in .

Just had a look and she is still there in the same place on the Buddleia! I gave her a light touch with a twig to make sure she was still alive and she wasn't too amused. She's not doing any harm there so live and let live!

I always thought the largest was the Wolf spider (female).
Many varieties but they do shift and are about 2" across but then, I usually find her in the bath and avert my eyes so cant be sure ?

On the subject of British arachnids, did you know there is a colony of some 10,000 or so yellow-tailed scorpions living at Sheerness Docks on the Isle of Sheppey?

Arrived there on ships in the 1800s, I think, and took up residence in the dock walls.

There are/were a couple of colonies in Bournemouth in the stone walls on the 'zig zags' a few years back. I was personally pretty sceptical about it so I took my UV torch out and sure enough I saw two. Whether the colony is still there or not I've no idea but it was strange find scorpions is such a populous area and away from any obvious point of entry.

We have lots of biting ****s here lol. Our Huntsman Spiders are impressive but not too bad a biter.
