Nothing wrong with offering but do it in PM. That's what I do if I'm a buyer and think a fair price is less than the asking. I'm not a fan of chiming in on the thread.
If I'm a seller I'll consider any offer but I don't really like it when people write to me basically saying I'm an idiot for offering at the price I'm offering.
At the moment I'm selling a piece of wooden furniture for £200, in good condition. The same item is still available new for £500. Someone messaged me saying he'd like to buy it but would only pay £85 because that's what he paid for his last one, that I was dumb for asking more - and the reason he doesn't still have the one he paid £85 for is that he sent it to the tip accidentally! People are really strange.
