Stoney Creek Tundra - any reviews?

I've been eyeing up the Tundra jacket and trousers from Stoney Creek. Does anyone own either item?

Jacket to be used for hind stalking, and for foul weather days. And trousers for a bit of everything during the Autumn through to Spring.

Be really interested to hear hows it rated for UK use.

Also, if anyone has a set and can tell me where they are made that would be much appreciated - nothing on their website.

Positive review on the Tundra from Edinburgh Rifles.

I have the Tundra pants. Wore them a lot last winter for beating, Stalking hunting etc. Thought they are best waterproof pants I have had
Got them from Ed on here Edinburgh Rifles

I have just purchased a Tundra jacket and I think it’s going to be pretty near perfect.

Sizing wise they maybe run slightly small, very well designed jacket with some extra refinement that seems to be missing on Swazi gear.

For example my Swazi kagoule was a great waterproof outer but when you had the hood up it was quite sharp around your chin but the Tundra has some soft micro fleece lining which provides some good comfort.

This is my first Stoney Creek purchase but on the back of this jacket and the quality of design and construction there will probably be more to follow.

I’ll update on field performance once it’s had some real life usage.

I’ve had the trousers for bout a year now and find them excellent in really bad weather, wouldn’t wear them as an every day trouser tho...

Tundra trousers failed on me after one short crawl in snow covered heather. As I was being driven home that afternoon I could see the fabric at my right knee damaged. I have at considerable expense had both knees reinforced.
Second gripe is these trousers don't have any pockets - bonkers.
I've been wandering about outdoors for nearly 60 years and have yet to find the perfect trousers and jacket.

Personally I like the FjallRaven Vida type trousers. Really tough and last a long time. Not waterproof per se, but dry very quickly. You can add wax, or as I do just use spray on Nikwax and that does improve water repellancy. If its cold wear merino wool long johns underneath. Lots of pockets and double layer over the knees and bum. I don't mind damp knees, and wet bum when sitting is solved by a simple and lightweight plastic bag, or find a rock etc.
