Best mod for 22-250

I use DPT on all mine, on the 22-250 I have the over barrel with an extra baffle. excellent moderators.

I've used both mods too, both great. Evo wins on being UK built, doing a tremendous job of taming 22-250 bark, and being cheap enough to not faff about with all that stripping and cleaning nonsense

I have an MAE 224 STS mod on my 22-250 and really rate it, non-strippable and it puts 8" on the end of the barrel but it works. And it will be tried out again in the next 30 mins, look out charlie and friends

Hausken jd224 with mesh fitted will almost certainly be the quietest. I replaced my wildcat evo with it.

It weighs 380g so light and very quiet

I was looking at that, but damn they are expensive!

I picked one up second hand for good price. I have no doubt that the hausken performs better than the wildcat but the wildcat is such good value for money. Excellent build quality, easy to clean and stylish.

Hausken with mesh has unrivalled sound reduction and is light. A bit bulky looking, expensive and not as easy to clean compared to the wildcat but I do love it.

What does ‘with mesh’ mean? It’s not something I am familiar with!

As standard the moderator just comes with the normal baffles like any other moderator. As an upgrade you can get strips of steel mesh wrapped between each baffle. It really helps to reduce noise.

Personally I think it's a game changer. I wanted a quiet and light moderator. The hausken mod does exactly that.

Yes that's it, the distributor can fit the mesh when you buy or you can buy it and fit it yourself after.

I have a stalon mod on my 22.250, nice and light and pretty quiet, minimal cleaning no problems

Another vote for Stalon, very light and quiet and very well made have one on my 270 firing 130 gr it’s very effective on fast loud rounds

Had a dpt with blast baffle on previous 22-250 rifle I had a few years back. Yes dpt is light but convinced there are quieter mods out there

Just been offered a gen 4 riflecraft hardy mod. Anybody used one or could give me advice on this mod???
