If you were a surfer

Must admit I don’t consider myself to have a particularly nervous disposition but when sat on a surf board in South Africa I had a very eerie feeling ended up coming in. How these Aussie guys do it day in day out I don’t know.

Would you call it quits after a similar incident?
I don`t do surfing aka bait dangling.... yes, just sitting on a board waiting for a wave.
Maybe in Devon it be ok eh!

Think on John old mate. :tiphat:

A rare breed Ras....born with a half brain.

It just had a bad feeling about it. Can’t explain it. Maybe just paranoia maybe just me being wet either way didn’t fancy the job. That and surfing is so bloody hard once you get off the foam boards

I had a similar feeling off Terrigal in Australia many many years ago. 100 yards or so off the beach sat on a board with my legs dangling and my brain told me I might like to think about heading to the beach. That was the most terrifying 100 yards of my life, and absolutely nothing happened

Bizzare feeling isn’t it?

Was in Adelaide for a wedding,we swam at a beach a few times and I had similar feelings out off shore by myself. I know now that a 6m white pointer swam past me,looked me over and kept going. That is the feeling I had at the time.

The groom rang me a week later and said

"hey John they found a pair of Nike runners on the beach where were swimming"

"Yeah! so the **** what?"

"The feet were still in them...."

Massive shiver!
