The reason why ALL 3 of the owners of this site decided to put these rules in place, is simply because we were fed up with people just joining the site to off load goods. We also had well established businesses joining and then taking full advantage of the site and its membership, without taking out trade membership.
The SD site is about the only site where you can advertise firearms for sale and shooting goods openly to the membership. Therefore we were finding some joining just to flog stuff and making NO contribution to the site in any meaning full way. One of the only ways to prevent this was to put in place the 30 day rule and 30 posts. Nothing more than that.
So Teyhan1 can forget the sarcastic comment.
Every day we have people trying to join who are set on disrupting the site. We have one idiot from Jakarta who tries to infiltrate the site just about every other day. Would you rather we just let these individuals free to disrupt and scam the membership then?
If not try Ebay then, if you are keen to flog something. But then you cannot sell firearms or knives on there anyway. Or on Facebook for that matter.

Just have a re-read of your post at #19...
George I understand night vision can be a bit finicky. Sometimes it can take a good few outings over a few weeks or months to learn and tailor a rig to get the best out of it.
Just throwing money at more gear might not be your answer.
I can understand if you going thermal, it takes a lot of searching through the eyepiece out of the equation, but I can just as easily see a new Thermion or Trail being sold next week when you struggle to get it zero'd due to there not being an image to zero it on.
Careful with the pennies bud, what you have is well capable of doing the work anyone could want.
