Kuiu Pro Bino harness

Hi - I cropped the dark picture down quite a bit and it’s actually the brown - coyote I believe. I use an AGC pouch to hold/protect my Helion when I’m not using it and I find that the bottom half is large enough to hold the Helion without using the flap whilst walking. The side and base pockets are large enough to carry head torch, spare rounds, batteries, etc and my iPhone slide face-down in the elastic pocket on the top. My Spartan bipod slips on the strap on the left too. It’s really a bit of a “Swiss Army knife” piece of stalking kit.

Got the ones I wanted, Kuiu Pro, large, from a very helpful member who had a surplus pair.

I use it nearly everyday and just love it, cannot recommend enough. The front opening makes it so easy to use.

Just on the brink of ordering the above for my Zeiss Binoculars, not bothered about the cost after what I paid for the binos!

So, any reason why I shouldn’t buy these, the reviews are good, and a very, very serious stalking mate of mine swears by his.

Comments please.

Cheers.

Mike.
I've had a kuiu bino harness for about 4 years and have thrashed them and have had no problems at all , they are well made and very comfortable to wear and would recommend them. The nice thing with them is they are compact and sit snug against your chest , unlike some of the other brands that are like wearing a small backpack on your chest.
They are nice and adjustable as well. You will be pleased with them.

Top piece of kit I had the original version then I made my own off the principle but made it so they didn’t drop, sold the kuiu then the pro came out with that feature, you will be well chuffed with the pro version.

For anyone interested, this is the original Kuiu bino harness in XL (the camo one) compared to the Pro Bino harness in XL. The Leica HD-B 10 x 42 fit perfectly in the original harness. The XL pro is big! I’m waiting for the large pro harness to come in to stock. There may be an XL pro harness in classifieds soon

I found the Kuiu harness a bit of a faff and tight for my Ziess 8x42 victory, so check sizing.
Sold it - I have the cheap Decathlon one that’s ok and have been impressed by the Vortex, Mardupial and bad lands

Used the Honady bino harness with pouch and small pocket.
I found it protected my geovids and the axiom thermal I had just fine, not waterproof and they did get squeaky when wet.
Issue i found when using theses larger bino cases comes when using quad sticks, the leg of the stick being positioned as designed, up across the chest, ends up with the case getting in the way, making you lean forward.
As all things, a compromise needs to be met as one set up may not suit another but the multi utility, multi pocket type means more weight and never used kit being carried.
Tried to find the perfect set up for years, every type I have tried get about 9 out of 10 and still looking, so have now reverted to using a bino harness for general stalking and only use the hornady if in Scotland.

It took me a while to decide on which harness to go for but I settled on the Kuiu, a number of reasons but the fact the "lid / top" opens away from you makes things easier, and its slimline design. If your using thermal aswell then there's room to attach a pouch on the side. I went with a pouch from Waldkauz, I then made a lanyard to secure them in the same way as the bins when out of the harness. It maybe worth getting the extra pouch to attach to the bottom, I use that for gloves and such. The pocket on the front under the logo really is less than useless and you'd struggle to even get a credit card in there...

Can I ask which Waldkauz pouch that is please? Is there a U.K. supplier or order direct?

I am now a few months in with the Kuiu Pro harness and cannot fault it, the new design is far better than the original. I am quite heavy on kit, so time will tell, but so far I am exceptionally pleased with the product.
