The Covid Vaccine Logic Makes No Sense At All?

I personally feel that there is far too much scare mongering going on about the Covid vaccine. As soon as it is available I will have the vaccine without any hesitation. Given the choice I would prefer to be given the Oxford vaccine but I will be happy to have whatever vaccine and protection I can get from which ever vaccine is available to me. My wife however has been listening to the scare mongering (Unfortunately she is sometimes a bit gullible and tends to believe what they say on telly, thinking that because it's on telly it must be true) and is hesitant about having the vaccine so my sister in law who is a senior staff nurse is coming round next week to try to talk some sense into the wife.
This damned scare mongering has to stop!

I see the Cockwombles are busy tonight

Yes they are.

99.6% of cases are mild. But take the vaccine incase you are 0.4% of the cases that aren't mild and you have a 65% chance that of that 0.4% you will now be the 0.18% that is crook.

If you are over 80 and die of Covid after taking the vaccine, well you were going to die anyway.

I can see how this story will be spun with more nurse time on tik tok.

I simply cannot understand anyone that refuses the vaccine.
I've already had COVID, it was no great bother.
As my immune system can clearly cope with it why should I waste desperately short NHS resources on something that I don't need?
I'd much rather my opportunity went to the very many too **** scared to go outdoors types who are gullible enough to believe that those ridiculous face masks, social distancing and lock downs actually prevent the spread of COVID, which by its very persistence is clearly untrue!
Roll on the warmer, dryer weather of late spring which just like last year greatly diminished infection rates and lets all learn to live with COVID again when it returns next autumn.

where are your facts from?
your also not taking the hospitals being full and stopping all other treatments into account.
or that stopping the spread will save lives, once enough people are immune it cant spread

I'll make a prediction. After the spring, summer and the vaccination well under way the virus will be all but over. Whilst there is still a problem with the Lurgy in Sweden the numbers of infected seems to be going down a little. looking forward to my Covid jab some time in February.
I read on Facebook that the death toll for 2020 was 0.92? of the population, the same as in 2015. Now as I take little on face book at face value I checked with the. Statistical central bureau. Government site where you can get all official stats. The stats for deaths in Sweden vary a bit year for year 2015 being quiet a high year. They have not published the death toll for 2020 yet but a quick look through the numbers did not reveal anything to shocking. I may be wrong as i just had a quick look.
When the Numbers are finally published it will be good to see if all this lock down and destruction of the economy has been worth it.

A chinese sponsored website.

Are you sure it stops the spread or just makes the symptoms mild for 0.4% people who it may have been adverse?

Except for those that still get and spread COVID but are just better able to survive it perhaps?

There have been very few if any deaths from flu this year. The flu that bumps off thousands of oldies every year in Sweden alone. Strange that nobody worries about that in a normal year. Also very few cases of sickness and diarrhea and that's rampant in Sweden over the winter months. Perhaps people are washing their hands more?

here's that rather less-well known Antipodean 'cockwomble' talking about his redearch and development, which the 'muricans seem rather interested in; given the ubiquity and safety record of Ivermectin, what's not to like? Ivermectin treatment is a ‘real killer of coronavirus’ | Daily Telegraph

Perhaps belt and braces might do no harm, until the efficacy of the vaccine is proven beyond any doubt, ad for all strains of Covid?

An interesting 'cockwomble Apples and Pears' factoid: Papua New Guinea, population 8.8million, majority of whom have been using Ivermectin routinely to combat various parasitic borne illnesses these past ten years, safely: Cases of Covid till now 835, deaths: 9 (nine).

Any disadvantage of using Ivermectin as a safe cheap and effective preventative, my learned friends?

Interesting how he has been ignored by MSM, as indeed is a search on BBC website for 'Ivermectin' last written of in July 2020, in an anti Bolsanaro piece about, er, hydroxychloroquine?

If anyone on the Stalking Directory has witnessed first hand the deaths of vulnerable perfectly healthy aged neighbours who had followed the lockdown rules and apart from my wife and myself hadn’t come in contact with anyone inside or outside the village we live in until the lady had to be admitted into hospital following a fall in the garden, some two weeks later allowed home bringing the virus with her.

If you had to refuse to help the last survivor of this couple because he had tested positive, then see him led into an ambulance never to see him again, and then had to self isolate oneself for fourteen days, l sincerely hope if this vaccine is offered to us all we will accept it no matter which vaccine is given after all what else is on offer !!

l will accept immediately.

Because you may not be immune despite having it. This means you could catch it again and spread it to others.
Everyone get a jab if offered. Don’t think just role up your sleeve and keep your mouth tightly shut.

Lockdown will reduce spread of flu and Norovirus as it’s spread my human contact. Stands to reason.

So what exactly will a jab achieve? I already have an immune system that copes with COVID - all a jab does is enable your immune system to recognise and deal with COVID, but I have already achieved that, a jab to me is superfluous, you are welcome to mine!

The jab stops you being infected. Thereby reducing the risk of spreading it to others.
when you had Covid you were infectious and were shedding the virus, probably for a couple of days before you showed signs. This meant you would infect others snd increase the transmission of the disease

the role of the vaccine is to stop you being infectious to others and thereby control the disease. It is not the same as catching the disease and surviving.

But the jab doesn't stop you getting the virus as you seem to believe!
