What your favourite calibre says about you . . . . .

.300 calibre Carbon Steel Blade for those that have hunted boar with their dogs and delivered such blades into pigs hearts for super quick deaths. Not for him the modern Remchester magnums.
And of course those unmentioned above that use an arrow to deliver death to their quarry in the way of the old (longbow) and not the ultra modern bow with more wheels than a family car.

7x64 - Vorsprung Dutch technik. Or. Take a good thing and make it better. For the man who's not "apart enough" to embrace Remington's .280 as although it's nice to be different...sometimes it's better sense to at least still remain practical.

8x68 - Deutschland uber Alles. Or. Belts? Belts are for trousers! The cartridge for Luftwaffe Generals and WWI fighter aces. Goering's go to that got there and did it all long before the "come lately" .338 Winchester Magnum.

The 303 British , designed before those new fangled air planes, wireless and telephones . Fought in every major conflict of the twentieth century and chambered in some of the most effective battle rifles ever built . Now , in some places , quietly forgotten , in others admired and still seen as a capable cartridge . The ultimate old soldier , unassuming and content to be appreciated by those who still know what it can do . Reminds me of my late Dad and Grand Father .

7.62x39. да товарищ. в мире вас больше, чем всех остальных вместе взятых. Вы убили практически все, что можно убить и с чем может справиться кто угодно, даже бонобо в видео

Yes, comrade. There are more of us around than all the other calibers combined. We have killed every type of man or beast that can be killed and can be handled by anyone. Even a chimpanzee in a video

The .264 Winchester Magnum!

You had an itch you just had to scratch. You heard all the negative rumblings but you didn’t give a rip. You laid out massive amounts of cash on brass, hard to find slow burning powder, expensive super premium bullets and valuable time at the reloading bench. In the end, you had to admit to yourself that a .270 Winchester is all you really needed, no one will ever hear those words come from your mouth though.

303 brit , helping englishmen express there feeling for over a century !

The .22 Hornet, a sneaky little round. You are an old, old man but you can still drag yourself about. You can still rise to the task if necessary.
Looking back to youthful times, you performed well in all situations, coping with anything you were pointed at and struck like lightening, fast enough yet small enough to do even the biggest job.
Sadly becoming lost in the mists of time but still very capable of almost anything to those who know you, and can tweak you when necessary.
Brilliant, all so true still using mine after 50 years.

.375 Cheytac.. You consider anything nearer than 1000 yards to be point blank range. The cost of your rifle, scope, rangefinder, bipod, Charlie Tarac, Ammo etc..would by a nice car, but you don't care because it's still more fun than Golf!
