Well I never..

I assumed it would take them one at a time, that seems a lot to eat in one sitting. But maybe they regurgitate for their young like gulls?

i always thought they’d eat little and often, he must weigh a bit to fly now. Nature red in tooth and claw. Pretty gruesome watch a sparrow hawk eating a starling beside my window whilst it’s still alive but this is sad To watch, but a fact of life.he was determined though. we have a pair in the wood which seems to enjoy owls. I’ve found several barn owls shredded on a particular tree stump. It’s always surprised me, predators eating predators. Not sure why.

thanks for sharing, although I’d now like to see one footage of a goshawk helping old ladies across the road or something more altruistic please, to compensate.😀

Looks like a female goshawk and given the time of year she would be feeding fledged young so would take the carcases to feed them. She would be having a quick feed herself, they do not regurgitate food.
