BASC campaign against age restrictions for airgun use

Any notable successes from 2002 ?
Was Lord Dear the Secretary before he became the President of BASC-is it therefore a recruiting aid ?
Does having a secretary at the meetings entitle BASC to call the group 'their' group
In the same vein, was the group for which BASC provided the secretariat, BASC's LEAD ADVISORY GROUP, because if so it failed spectacularly, until its spirit and purpose were resurrected by the voluntary lead ban. I wonder if Mr renegade Swift suggested the voluntary bit ?
Or have you finally rid yourself of his malign influence ?
Don't bother to answer.
In case its not obvious BASC cannot 'own' a parliamentary group and should never admit to it if, in its most stupid hour, it tried to.

The public consultation closed on Friday and we will continue lobbying on airguns and the other proposals in the consultation ahead of any proposed legislation.

Early in the process leading to a public consultation were risks that we would see proposals for airgun licensing, a reloading ban and a limit on the number of shotgun cartridges that could be possessed. All these were headed off but there is much work still to be done on the proposals that made it through to public consultation.

With the public consultation closed each of us could still consider writing to our MP? We could each ask our MP to raise our concerns with the Minister for Crime and Policing Kit Malthouse.

I would most appreciate a copy of any email/letter anyone sends to their MP and any response you get - please email conor.ogorman@basc.org.uk

If you need more information on the issues see the following resources.
