Equipment/machinery to process liver

I've been making liver into pate. Unfortunately in the process of doing so, I've burnt out the kitchen blender.

What is the best piece of kitchen equipment to chop/blend liver into a puree?

I'm after something commercial as I seem to break domestic equipment.

Kenwood Multi Pro, or possibly a Moulinex similar processor. You tend to get what you pay for, these makes have reputations which have been built on dependability, they’re unlikely to now wish to sacrifice.

Can’t help you, sorry, but will be trying my first lot of pate later so any recipes or tips gratefully received.

I used the Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall recipe in his Meat Book. I skipped the bacon strips and instead put the pate in lots of small ramekins. it rose when I cooked it, so the pate is slightly proud of the top. Looks OK when topped with melted butter.

I am surprised that your blenders are failing doing liver. I have only ever used a cheap blender and not had any issues. BTW are you removing the veins first, not that they should be causing any issues.

If you want a pro blender - the tall type look at VitaMix

if you want a pro food processor- Robot Coupe

this stuff is expensive- see if you can find second hand
