Chiller from a van?

I've just bought a refrigerated van.

I don't need the chiller.

Has anyone ever used one of these units to build a chiller?

I can build a suitable room very easily. The van is a long wheelbase night top Peugeot boxer so the volume is more than enough for chiller for the few deer that I shoot. I'd imagine the chiller unit to be capable of more?

Is it a simple case of strip it out of the van and attach to the cold room?

Possibly it would depend on if it's an all in one unit. If it is it could well be that simple

Are most them not already set up to be plugged in overnight etc?

Has a blue commando socket outside for the over night running so assume it could just be plugged in with that or if it needs to run on 12/24v a transformer would be easy enough.
There's 2 parts to the refrigeration, outside and inside. I figure I'd set up the time I parts exactly the same but on what would essentially be a well insulated shed.
I might sell the van but if not then I definitely don't need the chiller.

If its got the blue socket on the side it should be the 240v supply for overnight etc. I have seen plenty of them plugged in.
Just be aware that you don't want to disconnect any pipework between the two parts, without doing that you release the refrigerant (not good).
