Guys its maybe on the wrong thread here. Or is there any links to the newest models and peoples views. I was just looking to buy a moderator for a 22 250. Was wondering what people are using at moment and if you are happy with performance. It's for foxes so won't be walking big distances with it.

The Hausken Extreme does a good job. It’s some 400 grams. In my search to lighten my load I’m now using a Freyr & Devik 196. Virtually 1/2 the weight, a little noisier but I can live with that.

I have a ASE compact and Wildcat Evo which i have compared on my 22.250.
The ASE Compact seems quieter but not by much - Evo is pretty good and more versatile having replacement / cleanable components.

Another question the more quieter does that mean less recoil? Or is that separate engineering? I would prefer less recoil incase a follow up shot is needed quickly at night.

My mate has one of those new ATEC on his T3 250. Its very nice and made a massive difference compared to the old Hausken that he had before, much better moderation and reduction in recoil. I thought that Hausken mod was really ineffective and it has now been relegated to rimfire duties...

Ive got a SL5i on my 223 thats handy for sure, its tough as a tank and requires no upkeep so to speak. I am going to chop it in for one of the new ASE UTRA Radiens when they are released in March though as I find SL5i is not that well balanced up front with all the weight forward of the muzzel. I think that an over barrel will spread the weight about better for me as all my shooting is on foot.

I have a T8 on my 22-250 and it does a very good job.
I have wildcat P12 on my 223 and 308 also very good at quieting the sound and calming muzzle flip.

The 22-250 has a bark that takes some suppressing.
I would recommend the Wildcat Predator 12.
British made, strippable and very effective.
A reasonable price to boot.
