Sold: Blaser R93 .22 conversion kit barrel etc

I've got one, I'm also left handed. The bolt head is right handed but i use it with a left handed bolt. The only problem is getting magazine's as they are not made anymore

I have an R93 22lr barrel as does @Loler UK
The bolt carrier can be changed for left handed but I believe they only did left ejecting bolts (magazine on right)

If
Been searching online .. do they also come in .22 hornet found a photo of one but wondering if its a mistake ?
If they came in 22 hornet I would have one in a blink of an eye, I've got a R93 in 22LR its faultless had it for years

I've looked everywhere for small blaser calibre, pretty well exhausted every avenue, did find a 22WMR in the USA but he wouldn't RFD to here in the uk going to get a 204 barrel for the R8 and play around with a suitablee round

Blaser do a standard and a moderated version for the 22LR R8 pro I believe, but I tried to order one and it fell on deaf ears
I'm back to a 204 when I can pick one up

Get luck and keep me in loop if you find anything

Cheers

Phil

The r93 .22lr are like rocking hoarse poo,

They also did a hornet also rare

I wouldn't sell my .22lr kit for love nor money

yep
l’d give my hind teeth for a blaser in 22 hornet

just going down the 204 route they do that in 22 mm match barrel, my annie in 22 hornet is a lovely bit of kit, but getting a QD mounting system in place for that is a nightmare to use a day and night vision scope with ease and accurate i use the swop system on my 22 lr, .222 .243 and 6.5 the latter for foxing and i can’t find fault with any of it

i’m looking at getting a short 22 mm 204 rifle and sort a round out for it, out to 100 on foxes

I was looking for a good year before mine came up.... keep looking and dont shoot yourself in the foot by filling the 22 slot on your ticket.

I've just put a variation in for a .22 barrel and bolt head , and an additional .22 as well and a couple of other bits so will leave the slot open and if one comes up I can snap it up with no waiting for a variation :)

Please forgive me if this topic is no longer relevant to yourself but as a relative newcomer, I've just seen the thread for the first time.

Can I ask if you needed a FAC Variation for the actual R93 stock/receiver combination, or did you already have this from a previous purchase? The reason I ask is because I am attempting to get on the R93 'ladder' via a rifle in .22LR configuration but realise that sourcing a complete rifle in this calibre alone is highly unlikely. This is the only route I can take, however, since I am currently unable to get approval from my FEO for a Variation in a centrefire calibre

if you can find one in R93 make sure it has more than one mag
from memory I think the barrel and bolt head are the only bits you need a variation for if you are going to use another stock off another R93
i swapped mine in for the R8 model which is a better working model and I got another mag very easy. bits for the R93 type are hard to get
good luck with that, my one worked faultlessly

Many thanks for the update Overlay and I take your point about the R8. However, as I only intend going as 'high' as .222Rem/.223Rem in centrefire calibre (when I eventually get authorisation!), the lighter, more svelte R93 should meet my requirements. Believe it or not, brand new R93 parts can still actually be found, so it is encouraging to know that when you had yours, it operated well. Thanks also for the tip about the .22 mags; I know many did not like the 'Bren gun' style set-up on the R93 barrel but I don't envisage it being a problem for myself and I actually quite like the look of it!

What brand new parts can you get for an R93? I have a long list I could do with, especially the 22lr magazines, barrel nuts, stocks, actions, bolt carriers, Mag inserts MA bolt heads

Let me say, firstly, that it was not my intention to give anyone false hopes as to what Blaser parts might be still available. Personally, I am trying to assemble a R93 from scratch and I'm in the frustrating situation of having located some items but unable to buy anything because I do not yet have the authorisations on my FAC! I'll send you a PM, however, in due course.

I had 2 mags on-the 22 rimmy 93 and the same on the R8 but with two trigger units to enable a very very quick mag change

Both the r93 and R8 worked without a fault good luck with whatever you choose they are well made and very accurate
