Are they handed ? Ie im left handed or are they all the same ?
If they came in 22 hornet I would have one in a blink of an eye, I've got a R93 in 22LR its faultless had it for yearsBeen searching online .. do they also come in .22 hornet found a photo of one but wondering if its a mistake ?
Many thanks for the update Overlay and I take your point about the R8. However, as I only intend going as 'high' as .222Rem/.223Rem in centrefire calibre (when I eventually get authorisation!), the lighter, more svelte R93 should meet my requirements. Believe it or not, brand new R93 parts can still actually be found, so it is encouraging to know that when you had yours, it operated well. Thanks also for the tip about the .22 mags; I know many did not like the 'Bren gun' style set-up on the R93 barrel but I don't envisage it being a problem for myself and I actually quite like the look of it!if you can find one in R93 make sure it has more than one mag
from memory I think the barrel and bolt head are the only bits you need a variation for if you are going to use another stock off another R93
i swapped mine in for the R8 model which is a better working model and I got another mag very easy. bits for the R93 type are hard to get
good luck with that, my one worked faultlessly
What brand new parts can you get for an R93? I have a long list I could do with, especially the 22lr magazines, barrel nuts, stocks, actions, bolt carriers, Mag inserts MA bolt headsMany thanks for the update Overlay and I take your point about the R8. Let me say, firstly, that it was not my intention to give anyone false hopes as to what Blaser parts might be still available. Personally, I am trying to assemble a R93 from scratch and I'm in the frustrating situation of having located some items but unable to buy anything because I do not yet have the authorisations on my FAC! I'll send you a PM, however, in due course. What brand new parts can you get for an R93? I had 2 mags on-the 22 rimmy 93 and the same on the R8 but with two trigger units to enable a very very quick mag changeMany thanks for the update Overlay and I take your point about the R8.
