Tikka T1x MTR 22lr - What Ammo Does Yours Like

There is no simple answer. You just need to try a few. If it is a rifle that will be used for rabbits or other small animals, i would try RWS HP Subs, Eley HP Subs and CCI HP Subs. I would be amazed if it will not shoot one of those well enough for your needs.
If it is being used for targets, I would try R50, SK Rifle Match, Tenex or Lapua Midas or Centre X.

I picked up a T1X UPR last week and had a session testing all the ammo i had at home.
Winchester subs were average to rubbish in mine
Ely Field HP were pretty good
Lazer were awful, some being supersonic
RWS Field were disappointing
CCI HP Subs were the best at a consistent 15mm 10 shot groups at 54m
I have 500 SK Magazine to try as these have always shot well in previous 22lr rifles.
In relation to the other thread about solid 22lr vs HP on rabbits I would rather use the more accurate solid and stick with head shots than reduce ranges and chances by using a less accurate HP.
I fired at least 50 of each different ammo above in 10 round groups as each subsequent group did tighten up, some more so than others. From a look on a few online forums and youtube it seems the SK always perform well, the SK+ doing as well as the SK Match but cheaper and the Lapua doing well but definitely more expensive.
The good thing with the 22lr is that its quiet and cheap and no recoil so you can practice plenty and really get to know what works.

I tried Winchester, Eley, Remington, RWS and CCI subs in my T1X
None were really bad and none were absolutely brilliant, but CCI were slightly better than the rest

S&B Club, Aguila Standard Velocity, SK 22 SEMI AUTO
I got one LOT of CCI Subs that was fantastic. The next LOT was awful, and worse, any good ammo that followed the CCI would take upwards of 30 rounds to settle into grouping. That sucks when it might be the R50 at forty-two cents a shot. I finally ran a patch through my target rifle (T1X/KRG) to get rid of the residue left by the CCI. Accuracy settled in faster. I gave that CCI away.
On the other hand, I can switch from R50 to SK products and back with no surprises; after a magazine full the grouping settles down to what I would expect.
I have shot the SK Biathlon and R50 out to 400 yards on steel, 100 and 200 on paper. ~Muir

What do you meam it doesnt like them? As in the groups are poor? They wont eject?
I'd assume it means poor accuracy - I haven't seen or heard any reports of poor ejection/failure to eject/extract

I use RWS subsonic for rabbit control and can constantly group at les than an inch at 50 yards. Mine didn't like/ group the Winchester so good either.
+1 for CCI subs, produce the best group size, but normally get one odd round in say 20 that will sound either over or under speed and through the group size out, normally talking 15-20mm groups at 50m.
next would be RWS but the group size is 20-25mm at 50, still hitting my 30mm gong though
If I had more rabbits I would stick with the rws for consistency but at £11 for 100 the cci's are good for a plinking cession.

Absolutely correct, cycles perfectly, just need to get it shooting as well. I picked up some CCI and Eleys from my RFD today so hopefully that will do the trick.
CCI Subs would shoot an inch+ at 50 for me. Five to seven of them would be in a hole and others seemed to go where they wanted. The second LOT was far worse than the first, so I'm assuming it was a bad LOT, but even watching the T1X video from German Gunstocks the guy is shooting a ragged hole at 100 and then one just goes out. I can almost guarantee it wasn't the shooter. I noticed this with the first LOT of CCI Subs. Always a flier. I would much rather shoot say, S&B Club, that gives me a half inch diameter hole in the target at 50 than an ammo that put 9 in a quarter inch and tossed another to an inch. ~Muir
I’ve also found cci subs to be the most accurate out of all the subsonic hollow points I’ve tested in mine. Again, great grouping then a flyer occasionally. I also think they are slightly louder than most the others I’ve tested and occasionally one goes of with a real crack. Maybe a bad batch I’m not sure. Second to that were Winchester subs, and I do think the winchesters kill a bit cleaner, so I tend to stick to them.
