No but I would rather have a fore end clear of anything that might be either uncomfortable or catch. When using the rifle without a bipod.
It is possible to have both.

I also have a Bog Rapid Rest, a small, folding tripod, that acts as a bipod. Before I used the Spartan/Salamander combination I carried one of these around in the bottle pouch of my bag. It was easy to deploy and I found it more stable than the bag on its own. As you don’t want to alter the stock this might be worth a look?

Someone (previous owner) has already added a stud on my 202. But I would consider fitting a flush cup instead if it would fit in the available space.
I was justifying not fitting a Picatinny rail to a fore end. In reply to another comment.
If I decide to go for driven boar etc, then I don’t want something spoiling the lines of the rifle.

Another option would be the Halder fitting however that is a fiddly setup if one wants to swop back and forth.

Overall a stupid setup aimed at amateurs. (I think) All this flat smooth bottom of a stock is BS. If one can't shoot a deer with a little swivel stud on the forend …. go home.
We deal with the attachment issues of stocks every day, not easy getting it right for every one.
Over the years some combinations seem to be favoured and customers return to the same combination on their next rifle. Absolute number one on ordered stocks from us is : flush cups on the side opposite the bolt and a swivel stud for a bipod. Simple and good function. Also often used is : flush cups on side opposite bolt and a flush mounted spartan adapter for bipod. Old favourite was : two swivel studs on the bottom (front and back) as well as two on the side opposite the bolt.
Slowly the pica rail on the forend bottom is catching on. Our OEM Heym USA stocks are fitted with a short pica rail for bipod attachments.
One thing that really annoyed me were the flush cup attachments that did not limit the rotation and the sling was mostly a mess when one wants to shoulder the rifle. The limited rotation type solves this issue. Swivel stud to flush cup adapters in limited rotation cups can be timed wrong, early GrovTec versions had issues. Don't know if Halder have it sorted.

Wont the bipod move side to side(swivel)with this fitting..never used them?

Neopod and Spartan both do units that use that style adaptor but you have to use their bipod

You can buy a female adapter and fit it into the stock it’s a easy fit ,just drill a hole and arreldite it flush
I think I may have a spare one one .

I think the OP‘s point is that his new rifle does not come with a standard stud fitting for a Harris style bipod, it’s got quick release detachable swivels as per current Sauer plus other new rifles
