Mobile deer larder and butchery unit. Just park it up on a farmyard somewhere, connect extension lead to power socket and hosepipe to water inlet and you're good to go!
Carcass hoist, hot & cold running water, chiller, freezer, etc etc.
I guess if you wanted full portability you could even mount a generator on the drawbar and a water tank on the roof.

(As you can see, I started my cull this morning :smug:)

Looks expensive too!
No, not in the general scheme of things. Mostly 2nd hand and scavenged bits and pieces.
Buying the container itself (with chiller unit), and the trailer to put it on was the most expensive part of the job, but I got 50% grant funding for that. The overhead carcass rail system and putting the partition wall in to separate off the chiller area was all part of that.
The rest of the fitting out I have done myself.

Good effort. Looks a proper job. :thumb:

Well done looks very professional.

Hi Tim what are you planning on using this for home slaughter ? I've seen a few posts on a forum of Australian slaughter men doing farm visits killing and butchering.Unsure the legality here but certainly a great idea.

How nice to hear that you got some grant funding - it’s good to know that it is getting to where it should do.
Well done :tiphat:

No, it's a deer larder for my own use. I was going to convert an outbuilding, but decided against it for the time being because I'd be stuck with it in the event that I needed more capacity. With this unit, If I outgrow it in a few years I can sell it as a complete set-up and build something bigger.

Nice! I looked in to a smaller version of this. I didn’t pursue it as you can’t take deer to a game dealer in the trailer without a tacho in the pickup due to the potential train weight exceeding 3.5t and being for hire or reward.

Really nice bit of kit.

A decent solar panel with a heavy duty battery might be better than a diesel generator to keep the lights/ ventilation and possibly the crane running in absence of direct electricity. It could also be extended to the car/ truck in case of an emergency, in case you end up somewhere remote.

I towed the bastard thing all the way from Bournemouth to North Wales. It wasn't fun! It's just about as big as you can go without running into HGV territory.
