Anti vaxxers need to do some research.

We are a free country ,free to choose what we do and long may it be that way
No we are not. Our freedoms are limited in many ways to protect society as a whole. Firearms licensing is one obvious example.

Choosing not to have a vaccine raised the risk for the rest of society both from prolonged elevation on virus levels and the denial of hospital facilities to people with other serious illness.

The spill over of this level of ignorance is parents choosing not to vaccinate their children against highly dangerous viruses such as mumps. Being too stupid to protect themselves is one thing but failing to protect a child, given we have been doing it for what the last 60 years, makes them unfit parents in my mind and the state should intervene to protect the child's health and welfare.

And one of the consequences of not being vaccinated is the heightened risk of passing the virus on to other people.
That alone is sufficient reason for being vaccinated.
Also, being vaccinated reduces your chances of becoming sick and requiring hospital treatment.
The fewer people there are in hospital with covid, the quicker the NHS can get on with treating the huge backlog of people who require medical treatment for non covid conditions -

early days yet but!

There was talk not so long ago of the NHS possibly refusing to treat smokers.
Given the greater than individual threat from disease, maybe they should refuse to treat non-vaccinated people - that I could understand. Since both decisions must be based on cash and financial resources, non-vaccers should be first for withdrawl.
I have had the two and will have more if offered.

No, I'm saying that if they got vaccinated they would not then become the cause of other people dying.
The letter you linked to regarding FDA approval is a pure smokescreen and is just another weak excuse from people who have made covid a political rather than medical issue.
Over 2.5 billion people worldwide have so far received at least one dose of the vaccines currently in use.
The level of severe reaction/death to these vaccinations is vanishingly small.
Added to the steep reduction is hospitalistions/deaths amongst those fully vaccinated, there is more than sufficient evidence to be very confident about the efficacy and safety of these vaccines.
Only in "culture wars" USA - where everything becomes politicised has the difference between emergency approval and full regulatory approval become an issue.
For comparison, the Pfizer and Astra Zeneca vaccines were approved in the UK before anywhere else in the world, first with temporary authorisations and currently with Conditional Marketing Authorisations which are valid for one year
They have not yet received their Standard Marketing Authorisations (equivalent to full FDA approval) - but nobody appears to be making an issue out of it on this side of the pond

I read that 'it is not possible to provide comprehensive data on the efficacy and safety under normal conditions of use' and the very first thing that comes to my mind is, lets vaccinate the world, including children. Assume you think the same.

You should get your vaccinations if you’re worried. They dramatically reduce the impact that the virus can have on you.
I've had both of mine. It's the anti-vaxxer that doesn't care about the consequences and is standing with one foot in my grave that worries me.

So anyone who hasn’t been vaccination dosnt deserve a bed ,is that the feeling .
So if they stopped paying taxes that would ok too ffs as taxes fund the NHS along with public amenities .
We are a free country ,free to choose what we do and long may it be that way .The only reason I’m double jabbed is to eventually go abroad no other reason .Ill stand by anyone not wanting the jab or any other infringement of their rights .
What this country needs is normality ,covid is here to stay and not of our making .We need to move on now .

You don’t think people should get the jab, but your double jabbed yourself because you want to go on foreign holidays? 👀

Real moral fiber that 🤣🤣

So, will you get vaccinated when the vaccines which currently have Conditional Marketing Authorisation use get "full" authorisation - or will you find another excuse not to get vaccinated?
Simple answer: yes or no

Who said anything about foreign holidays?
I believe it was my moral obligation to get vaccinated so that:
a. My chances of contracting covid were dramatically reduced
b. The chances of me contracting covid and infecting family members and anyone I come into contact with are dramatically reduced.
c. By reducing the chances of being hospitalised, making it easier for the NHS to cope with the pandemic
That did not take any moral fibre - it was simply the right thing to do for me, my family and society as a whole.
The antivaxxer attitude seems to be: "it's all about me and only me and my freedom to do whatever I want and screw the rest of society"

Wow , some strong feelings on this one . Personally , I've been vaccinated twice , so I'm as protected as I can get . Realistically , it doesn't matter how many , or how few , get vaccinated anymore . I can still get it and transmit it to others , Covid is here to stay . While I'm a proponent of vaccines , and to be accurate , they're all still an experimental treatment , I can empathise with those who are hesitant . What does concern me is the amount of rage among those on both sides of the debate . In a world that I didn't think could get anymore narrow minded and polarised , we've managed to ratchet it up a little more . One side doesn't trust big pharma , the media and their own governments ( understandable ) , the other wants to ostracise and punish anyone who doesn't have the same beliefs or concerns as they do . I say this as someone who has lost two family members to Covid and is under no illusion as to how severe an illness it is . The question we need to ask ourselves is how far are we willing to go in regards to civil rights . Are we going to to start rounding people up who aren't vaccinated ? Some on here suggest punishing them , ok , how ? Fines , imprisonment , perhaps a nice little yellow star . The greatest damage that will come out of this mess will be the amount of freedom we've lost and won't get back . Feel free to flame me , as I'm sure some here will , but we need to give our heads a collective shake . The world is over flowing with hate and division , the above mentality will just make it worse . Flame suit on .

AB, bolster your chances and reduce the risk of infection to ZERO by taking a dab of Ivermectin once a week. If/when they all do, there’ll be no more pandemic.

And good luck!
