Quite often updates are not given after asking a question as I did a few months ago - so in this case I thought I would update - I was looking at moving a cabinet to a location other than my house, the FEO was very helpful and basically inspected the building including access points etc. And the final result was it was all approved - I increase security and the FEO commented that when compared to some of the locations he visited there was little to be concerned about which I understand as he was saying he visits static caravans which have cabinets in them which obviously don’t usually have the security of a standard house/building.
I struggle to get into my own building now without something wailing, beeping, ringing or sending me a video but hey ho!
Just to show that although the H.O guidelines say something it is not cast in stone and many FEO’s and forces can be sensible and pragmatic when all the details are laid out clearly.
