any updates on best IR for Digex? recently got one myself, currently using the wicked lights A51iR having mixed feelings with it!
i must say the new c50 colour digex sounds good.

anyways great to gear some feedback on best IR now thank you

The best IR for the current black and white Digex N450 will definitely NOT be the best IR for the upcoming colour Digex C50
In simple terms, the current Digex works best with LED based IR illuminators while the upcoming C50 will need a laser (vcsel) based IR to produce a decent image.

The illuminator supplied with your Digex will do the job perfectly capably out to maybe 120 yards, depending on the conditions.

I would say that the best IR for the Digex would be our Black Sun Ruby BR20:

Set the beam to fill the field of view and you should be set and not need to mess about with it.

If you want to be a bit more covert, but loosing some of the raw range of the above, then the Black Sun 2 B22 would also be a good option:
