Hi DVS1.
My apologizes for graveyard digging this old post. But I can't find any other means to contact you directly. And I have been searching the forum for similar results too.
I own a S & B PM2 3-20 and it requires a 50mm mount for the PARD007. However the mounts only range till 48mm.
So I would like to ask you. How have you mounted your PARD on your PM2? Which mount have you been using?

Pros for PARD add-on:
If you have a suitable scope it gives a cheap high performance NV capability, and one which can be moved from rifle to rifle (assuming all the rifles have suitable scopes). With the right scope and external IR you can see and safely shoot at distances not possible with an 008
Cons:
Works best with scopes which are not "top of the range" i.e Swaro, Zeiss and S&B. It works well with Delta, Sightron and Hawke scopes
No rangefinder capability
Head position is compromised with the 007 fitted - a stock extension may well be required
Pros for PARD 008
All in one day/night scope that can stay on the rifle permanently
Lighter than a glass scope plus 007
On board rangefinder capability (008LRF only)
Up to 5 profiles consisting reticle postion, style and colour can be saved and recalled as needed
Cons:
Image quality in daytime mode not as good as even a cheap glass scope
Needs digital zoom for distant targets and the image with digital zoom is not as good as at base magnification
I'm sure others will also have pros and cons to add
