I don't know either. Had it rebarreled from a .243 and don't regret it. It stops them quite well....I have always wondered why the 7mm08 isn't more popular ??

I have had a 7-08 for a long time. Lovely round and I won’t move in any time soon.

Not sure, they might be optilocks. Callum Ferguson fitted them when he built the rifle for me. Btw I've owned the rifle since 1985.
Look like one piece Optilocks on @long_range_rob 's rig.
I own a Remington Model 7 KS in 7mm08 with a 16" barrel and the bite is much worse than the bark!
Is it a 75?

Great rifle. A Classic. Did you shorten the barrel, if I remember correctly weren´t they 20 inches?
No, came to me shortened and threaded.
Bolt not the smoothest but got it for £400 with a McMillan KS stock which is very nice.

A great little hunting rifle . A friend of mine has a KS Custom in 350 RM , or as I like to call it , the nuclear facial . It's definitely handy , powerful and accurate , but it is probably one of the nastiest rifles I've ever shot . If I want that kind of abuse , I'll just go and get mouthy at a biker bar . Your's is a much more practical outfit and will take care of most things , on both sides of the pond . What velocities are you getting out of a 16 inch barrel ?

No, tikka LSA 55 from the mid 70's. McMillan stock, Krieger barrel, Laurence titanium moderator.
Have not chrono'ed it but don't expect much!
Plan is to run the factory barrel out and rebarrel to 22" when the time comes.
