My Archer has started playing up ,to start off every thing is just Brilliant. But after pulling the trigger every thing go's blank
after a bit of switching on and off for about 5 or 6 time's it come's back to life, I find another fox with Thermal.set up ready to shoot
switch on Archer every thing.s fine pull the trigger quess what every thing go.s Blankity Blank. Tried calling Julian at Starlight 7 time.s no answer
Called a man who Advertise.s on Ebay quoting me 3K. His there some Kind Person on this site that can HELP Me.

Julian is a absolute nightmare, I am shock he is still trading ..
It took me sometime to get my money back when I bought an archer from him, that was sent out faulty..
It got to the point when I was going to have to drive to Manchester to his place .
Funny enough he refunded me when I said I will see you in 2.5hrs

Starlight are a nightmare to deal with, shame as a properly set up archer is a fantastic piece of kit, friend of mine is having to take legal action against them to have his NVG's returned after a three year runaround

If Julians gone tits up for good its the best news ive heard this month.
The ebay repairer is also Julians mate.
Ive still got some spares left for the Archers if you want to send it over, if the tube is clean and bright when its working there shouldnt be a lot wrong with it.
If i cant repair it ill return it at my cost.

What a Complete and Fantastic man you are, Not only finding the Root cause of the Problem with my Archer, (Witch- JULIAN at STARLIGHT NIGHT VISION Could not do )
Also Posted it back to me in 4 Days, to me is like a Breath of fresh Air, Also telling me that what i was SOLD by STARLIGHT NIGHT VISION (Robbing git) was a Grade D not
a Grade B that i was lead to believe ,Thanks a lot Dave, expect a Christmas Card from DovLad.
SORRY to those with ARCHERS That shut down after the Trigger has been pulled, will like to know the problem was the Battery Cap was to Deep and needed reducing plus
there was no 'O'RING to stop moisture entering the Battery compartment.

Give the battery cap a clean. New battery and fully tighten. Sometimes its the contact. Clean threads with a little wire wool.

Dear prowler read the thread if the Cap is to long its to long when the trigger is pulled the battery on recoil jumps off the contact making it switch off no matter how much you tighten it its still to long
the answer was in the thread .if you only read the first peace thanks for your advise.

Thank you ,prowler if you've got a spare Pentax lense for the Archer i could be interested has mine is one of the cheap lenses,
looking for 50mm 1;1.4 .
