Agreed. I am all for robust and respectful discussion that involves the exchange of data. It is the hallmark of good debaters that they discuss facts. Conversely, those unwilling or unable to engage with data attack the speaker. I am sure that Alan and I will never stand in that latter category.

is there any information regarding the uptake and percentage of population in Japan using Ivermectin?

Still no Ivermectin consumption rates statements, but I did find a link to the Japanese PM's cabinet postings in english.

A posting there on 14th May 2021 confirms the other links I have found that Ivermectin has been available to Japanese GPs to prescribe off-label for covid and confirm that use of drug is "proven safe".

The later and more forceful wording by Prof Ozaki in August 2021 [as quoted to the Miuri Shimbun] to actively prescribe Ivermectin, appears to have been heeded by GPs. I will keep researching.
