Buy now and buy lots!!Yup I do that, but when (not if!) primers go over £100 per 1,000 I think that will put many off.

Assuming fallow deer are shot at 16 months giving a 27.00 kg dressed out weight.
@ £2.75 per copper cartridge used & at 2x shots per deer = £5.50 per deer carcass = £0.205 cost per kilo to the hunter.
Federal PowerShok 150gr SP .308 presently £26.95 a box of 20 rounds = £1.35 per traditional cartridge shot & at 2x shots per deer = £2.70 per deer carcass = £0.10 cost per kilo to the hunter.
You don’t have to go premium![]()
Federal Nosler Partition 150gr @£2.75 per lead core cartridge used & at 2x shots per deer = £5.50 per deer carcass = £0.205 cost per kilo to the hunter.
But I certainly agree the dealer should pay more per kilo for deer shot with lead free, whether expanding petals or fragmenting design, because there is significantly less meat contaminated with metal that has to be discarded from every carcass.
Alan

Not that i like them that much but the reason is probably because they get a lot of people think a cartridge is a bullet so they are catering to the lowest common denominator, the section of their website they are found in is actually called projectiles so all is not lost . . .Dauntsy Guns calling bullets heads ****ism is alive and well.
Cartridges are boomers, heads are for bashing against walls agh!!!
Exactly. You don’t have to go premium
Hi - I'm trying to find a dealer inside the M25 who actually has lead-free .308 factory ammo in stock, but to no avail. Everyone I've spoken to can't seem to get stock of anything due to Brexit issues. It's not as if I'm trying to get anything special, just a replacement for my favourite Federal PowerShok 150g, which has worked nicelt for Reds down to Muntjac for all of my stalking life.Yesterday, I bought
PPU 150gr SP .308 £17:95 a box of 20 rounds
Federal Power- Shok 150gr SP .308 £26:95 a box of 20 rounds
Delivered fresh from manufacturers this week and not old stock
That is where I got mine last year (at Bisley).Have you asked William Evans?
