Sightron STAC 4-20x50 works well and so does the Delta titanium, both being nv add-on compatible should you wish to ever go that way.
I do have both scopes by the way 👍🏼

👍 Cheers for the replies guys - thanks for scope offer Rabbit will get back to you
Was out the other night just to see what was about using a Coast XP18R ( use this at work ) good strong beam from it
Also got a Led Lenser MT10 scope mounted torch will buy a clamp for it when i get a scope

I suggest you buy a scope that is night vision compatible (side focus that will go as low as 10 yds) it will still do your lamping, and should you at a later date decide to go night vision add on your not going to have to buy another scope, Hawke airmax and sidewinder are good as well as lots of others.

Will Look at the NV option once i get a bit of experience and pennies bank accounts taken a doing buying my rifles and the rest
Expensive this game 😌
Do you find you get better results with night vision i take it the foxes will get lamp shy

I’d look at it like this…..the world’s special forces don’t use lamping as a method whilst ‘hunting’ in darkness.
Horses for courses though mate, if the pennies won’t allow anything more at the moment then use a lamp until you can afford nv 👍🏼

Hi Mac,

I would suggest the delta titanium 2.5-15x56 would do everything you want. I will be very clear in the lamp, it's night vision compatible and as an added bonus it's very competent at low light and makes a brilliant stalking scope too. As you are putting it on a 243 this one scope could cover everything you do and it punches well above its price point on performance. I can say this from experience as I have had one for several years and use it as my main scope for stalking, I have also put the ballistic turret option on mine hats pretty much the same system as the Swarovski BT system on the z6i scopes. Really worth a look and hope this helps.
Dave.

As said above Mac, Optics warehouse are doing the Stac for less than 300squid, not a bad option, and it will work with a Pard nicely, that is the route you will undoubtedly go down in the not too distant future, then it will be a thermal spotter and you'll never look back bud! Foxes nightmare.....

if you want a nice old school scope for lamping your hot go far far wrong with a

Schmidt and Bender Classic Fixed Power (Hungarian) 8x56 30mm IR Rifle Scope
