Pigeon decoy advise

Hi all I’ve found a spot where pigeon are hitting a sunflower field and was wondering what’s the best way to mount a few decoys? I watched and spotted the flight line and there is a good spot for a hide but the birds are hanging on the flower heads.
Would you use garden canes?
Or are there better ways?
Regards Dan

That's what I do when they're feeding on a tall crop.

Stick a few full bodied deeks on canes or onto the existing sunflower stalks and you should be in with a good chance of success. If there's a 'sitty tree' close by it can help if you loft a couple or 3 into that too.

Are the sunflowers a commercial crop?
