Primers and powder

Thing is - without ammunition, guns are pretty much useless. I could potentially see tighter controls on reloading as it is far easier than criminals illegally importing illicit ammunition. Just needs one incident where the ammo is home made, and we'll have another knee jerk reaction.

The VCR bill was due in part to home made ammunition and the latest round of tightening was due to home made ammunition for obsolete calibres.

Like I said - no logic to it - but it could well be one more, or 10 more, or just a general trend.

Think it was somebody doing it with criminal intent, which is why they took the pistols from the obsolete list to section 5. Did they not?

In this instance wasn't it a couple of rogue RFDs that were producing ammunition on a non unsubstantial scale to pass on to the underworld that caused the problem?
