777 / smokeless

[Farrow]

Can’t ever remember (or write down for next time being stupid) what grains to use for a 44 revolver of 777 or similar (not black powder).

Any suggestions on a sensible and safe load?

777 isn't smokeless, it's a black powder substitute by the way.

Yeah don't be putting smokeless in a muzzleloader unless it's proofed for it otherwise it'll probably make a mess

777 in my 44s-45s revolvers and single shot, 15gr, for putting holes in paper at 25 yard comps, never changed it in 20 years,

It is worth stressing that the powder weights are volumetric grains. [that page satates that clearly]
