Very Old Munty Buck

It was lucky to retain both canine teeth at that age .Iid say 75% of older bucks here have one or both snapped off through fighting .

In the words of crocodile Dundee, "that's not a ....... this is a ......."

Was shown some photos of a muntjac buck that was in a garden and had to be euthanised a little while ago. The antlers are 16cm, at least twice the thickness of it's pedicles, symmetrical, with normal sizes brow tines. It physically looks twice the size of a gold medal placed along alongside it
Any idea what it had been feeding on would be interesting to know. If in someone's garden has it been eating peanuts or something like that for it to get so big.

When I've chance, I'll ask if it had been seen in the same garden before and if it may have been eating something unusual. I suspect it may have only been seen on this occasion but it would be nice to know what gave it such impressive antlers.

Do we get a picture of the mythical beast yet????
