The only small advantage to cullers is a panic button, that if you get lucky, brings down a dedicated police crew on your position.
Sorry to break your James Bond delusion but they have some, definitely not plenty, nowhere near as much as the shooters who have one each.Sorry to bring you up to speed, BUT, the anti's have plenty of Ti equipment, The "Buy me a coffee" scheme is well known to fund these groups.
Do you have any actual evidence of that claim? Where do I sign up, I could wreak havoc for that sort of moneySome get paid up to £ 100,000 grand a year just to go out and cause trouble , from coffee money.
Nonsense, if that’s your only advantage you’re not very good at what you’re doingThe only small advantage to cullers is a panic button, that if you get lucky, brings down a dedicated police crew on your position.
But how many years ago was this , as things have changed massively.Sorry to break your James Bond delusion but they have some, definitely not plenty, nowhere near as much as the shooters who have one each.
Of all the people I know who did it in our area not one came face to face with an anti as they were so easy to avoid. The closest anyone came was getting followed and dazzled on an A road as they were shooting one of the director’s farms and the address was published. That’s in 5 years of culling in a zone that contains the secretary of the stop the cull charity
Not that I’m involved but I know plenty that are.

You seemed to have missed this one, where is there evidence of £100k salaries for causing trouble.Do you have any actual evidence of that claim? Where do I sign up, I could wreak havoc for that sort of money
Not all free shooters have Ti, so you are behind the curve. To the extent some were having to have units from management, & keep your "delusion" comments to yourself thank you.Sorry to break your James Bond delusion but they have some, definitely not plenty, nowhere near as much as the shooters who have one each.

They will be replaced quickly don’t worry about that .We are in the extended license period .I was party to to the massacre ,something I regret if truth be known .
When the cull details were set out it was understood we were to cull 70% of what was on the ground .
What wasn’t mentioned was the almost total eradication in our area and still another two years of extended license .
Im a countryman and realised something had to be done but never signed up for eradication .
They are part of nature ,have a place ,admittedly not in the numbers previous seen but to hammer them into oblivion wasnt my intention either .
Ive voiced concerns but met with sneers so gave up on it .
The upside is that the fox population went through the roof second year and each year thereafter ,rabbits made a comeback and plover of both species were seen once again on the plough .
I miss seeing and watching them at night ,I’m going to miss watching them this summer because there are none .
Undoubtedly there is a link with bovine Tb but what’s never discussed is farm hygiene and other wildlife links namely deer .
The badger has been used as a scapegoat ,whether to good effect or not but I don’t see any change in farm hygiene or deer numbers to further offset Tb losses .
Farmers all clamouring for the last one gone did nothing to put me at ease so I left the project .
You seem to be heading in the direction of Mr Norcan fella, how can you comment on how well anyone is doing with anything, while you are not present? maybe it's you with the "Delusions".Nonsense, if that’s your only advantage you’re not very good at what you’re doing
So probably utter tosh….No actual evidence only what ive been told by others higher in the chain than myself , where do you think Packham gets most of his money from,
and Finnbear is right they have so much equipment now its unbelievable.

As finnbear says YadaYadaYadaSo probably utter tosh….
For someone who doesnt actually do 'the job' yourself, but just 'knows' others who do, youve got a lot to say about the matter. As I say in 5 years there’s been no face to face encounters in the zone local to me. If they all had thermal it would be very easy for them to pinpoint teams, particularly with the local topography and arable land use. It simply doesn’t happen, they have a coupe of thermals that they generally use to locate trapped animals as it’s the easiest way to find the traps.
Well said that man.For someone who doesnt actually do 'the job' yourself, but just 'knows' others who do, youve got a lot to say about the matter.
Antis/sabs do have thermal, and use them effectively to find free shooters, often using high ground, they then approach , blowing horns , banging drums ect.
Sometimes theyll block the exit with a vehicle, so its not always possible to relocate, and even then they can follow, and all you are doing is showing them where your spots are.
They already know where the setts are , so often just sit on them, so to say you arent doing it right , when youve never been in the position yourself is laughable.
Those that do this often thankless task, often face considerable intimidation, vehicles damaged , and assaults are common.
Fences are torn down, and animals released onto roads, despite these people being animal 'lovers'
If your cull zone has had no face to face contact in 5 years , it means your sabs have given up that area , or moved to a fresh cull zone.
Our first year in 2020 was bad , lots of encounters, traps smashed by the dozen, 2021 was worse , until a large group of sabs were arrested and banned from the area for violent intimidation.
What little experience you have of the matter , is not reflective of what we in the midlands have had, and I have friends in Somerset who report similar issues.
