tail docking

Hi mate,
My brother just had a litter of cocker pups done by a vet in leyland, just off the motorway, will find out what he was called but it wasn't that expensive and very helpfull, couple of pups went to switzerland and he sorted all the inspections and paper work for no extra.

Stanley house vets on albert road colne will do them, shotgun or firearms certificate req`d as proof of working dogs mate.

A piece of nonsense (proof) what if all you do is beat of trial spaniels or a boy that's working terriers, for all that is coming off a spaniel as a pup 1/2 a inch of the end leaves a tail that you can see.

A terrier, the width of your hand as a adult, not a dock up it's arse, 3/4 inch off the end leaves a good handle for a working dog.

Do them yourself save you a fortune. It has been done by owners since they were invented .
By the time the vet gets his equipment on the table they could have been done and back sleeping ,with no hassle to pups or mother .

That's obviously illegal, in Scotland you are committing 2 offences! Unless you want to add fraud to the charge sheet and fake a certificate? I know people who have been asked for the paperwork.

Read the whole post but just for you ,why should you require proof fac or other wise I know many people in scotland that beat grouse, pheasant etc that carry out working trials the do not hold and sort of firearm ,they just enjoy the pastime of working dogs .
