Life’s little luxury.

Kipping in your truck , ( and forgetting to turn the internal light off )

A battery booster / charger pack

Yes I've done it , lol, lol

I drive a 110 - what is this you speak of?

Actually, my wife drives a Volvo. On the fist occasion I drove it, the seat and steering wheel started to heat up (she loves it).

I thought two things had happened.

1) I had become incontinent.

2) A wiring fire had broken out in the steering column.

True story.
Get a Disco.
You’ll still benefit from Land Rovers legendary reputation for unreliability but it has a few creature comforts as standard and cruises happily at motorway speeds.

Must have had a sunroof.
How very posh.
Some Italian thieves did me the favour of nicking mine back around 2004, it was found 366 days later stored in a farmers barn 60kms away and had been left there by said tealeafs on the same evening it had disappeared there was a Italian newspaper lying on the floor, I bought a Terracan and never had any reliability issues afterwards. A strange favour those thieves did for me.

Nice thick brown felt Hubertus roll up high seat bum mat with a shoulder strap, had it now for 15 years and it still looks new.
A good loden low hip length jacket to feel cosy in on said high seat.
They are really comfortable. I have a thick double loden cloth slip, and rifle is carried in this till I get to my sitting spot.

And an espresso pot with a pocket rocket and gas canister so can brew proper coffee - none of that Nespresso crap.

I was sitting in a high seat waiting for something to happen , mind wandering as it does. Started to think about life's little luxury’s that I now take for granted. Been so many innovations in optics , kit etc but what about the other things that make stalking more comfortable.
This is what I came up with.
Nespresso machine for that decent cup of early morning coffee,
Truck with a decent heater and heated seats and steering wheel.
Change of waterproofs at lunch on a wet day.
Smell of home cooking as you walk in the door.
Probably just getting soft in my dotage.
Would be interested in other peoples thought’s

I too use the thick double loden cloth slip but added two more buttons to mine then when sitting out I wrap it around my waist/kidneys to keep the chill off, or sometimes wrapped over my upper thighs to keep them warmer.

I just have an Ansitzsac to keep me really warm if its cold.

Stalking luxuries… for me I’d have to go with my Garmin Inreach. Having a satellite device is a must as all of my hunting is far from any town, well out of cell signal. If anything were to happen it’s my only lifeline to get help and to stay in contact with friends and family. The added GPS/Mapping functionality is very useful.

Another luxury is my portable solar panel charger, to charge my inreach, cell phone, headlamp, etc. very useful and works well!

Interesting isn't it, how 'luxuries' can entirely depend on where you are in the world and what it is you are doing.

Most want warm socks and a cappuccino - you are just trying to stay alive.:-|
