I have available a 1200 acre deer stalking lease not far from marlborough, wiltshire, this is locked and gated access .
Mainly pasture ground with 50ish acres of copses, there are roe and muntjac present, hasnt really been shot for 2 -3 years as was leased as a “buffer” by the neighbouring land owner who gave up stalking a while back,
There are footpaths, so you need to be aware, patient, and professional if approached or meet someone at a gate ect,
there is livestock at certain times of the year, and as we all know roe dont mix too well generally with sheep but they do rotate and hang about and sightings dont seem to drop off when they are there, just in different places, just being honest.
This is a deer stalking only lease, if you happen across a fox or rabbit/ crow ect by all means have a shot but there is no lamping/night shooting, shotgun shooting ect
I will need to be informed before you visit, this isnt so i can make sure im not stalking as some cynics will no doubt say but so i can inform the land owner and farm manager, you are welcome to erect seats if you like or install cameras but its entirely upon you if they are stolen ect.
Being as upfront as i can be, you arent going to shoot dozens of deer a year here, but if you want to keep the freezer well stocked with the freedom of your own lease( or if you wanted to get a small group together ) then its a good piece of ground, with the added benefit of some amazing scenery.
No formal qualifications needed although you WILL need insurance, an open ticket with deer legal calibre ( with proof) and some experience.
All carcasses are yours to keep.
Due to footpaths all gralloch to be hid- very well, ideally buried or taken away
Just to reitorate if you are looking to knock over dozens of deer a year this lease isnt for you,
If on the other hand you want a steady supply for the freezer, with an appreciation of nice scenery and a bit of freedom it may suit you very well.
There will be a comprehensive contract in place, to protect you aswell as myself, with clear dos and donts, with emidiate termination of the lease if found to be unsafe/unsavory
I would want to meet you in person first before any hint of payment and would like to think you would want to see the ground first before commiting to anything
Drop me a PM if of interest, please leave a contact number and a quick intro and will give you a call to arrange a visit when i get a spare minute, tire kickers please dont! As everyones is, spare time is a rare commodity.
Lease date to start beginning of june if a suitable chap is found in time and has seen the ground and happy with it.
If someone has a fallow or red lease and want to talk about a deal please get intouch, im not interested in individual swapping days ( not on this lease anyway), maybe an option for someone?
My apologies if this is to the point but hoping to get a headstart on weeding out any potential headaches
Regards
Lee
