Sako Finnfire P94S mag for under a fiver?

I think the Finnfire 2 is the quad, the mags are deeper than the finnfire 1 mags.
I'm shooting a benchrest league at a club, we have a very "enthusiastic" Range Officer who has been insisting that all guns are loaded with only one round at a time.
You can load one round at a time with the 10 shot magazine in place, it works fine but Mr Jobsworth is now insisting we use single shot adaptors / magazines that are not capable of holding more than one round.
The guys running 10/22's and CZ's have been able to find single shot adaptors but we can't find any for the Sako's.
I think they are challenging it with the committee at the minute, its just a nonsense rule, no good reason for it but a wee bit of power seems to have gone to the guys head.

I can make one that only holds one round

Currently printing this - it's a magazine with a restrictor in it that will only hold one round. If you insert it upside down, it will act as a breech flag (spring not shown). The blue bit (actually being printed in orange, the same colour as the rest of the base) is what stops the follower going low enough to load more than one round. Otherwise, it's a normal mag so should feed properly. The downside is you would have to remove the magazine to reload for every shot - I can remove the top lips from the magazine to make it possible to just load from the breech. Might need a groove in the follower to keep the round central, though, as currently it's centralised by the top lips.

Ah, that was you, was it? Terrific
Yep - fed up with my genuine 10 round mags suddenly deciding they don't want to feed properly so thought I'd try one of yours with a view to buying another if all is well - and no reason to expect otherwise 👍 Ordered the modified base as even though I have a home engineered extension on mine they're a pain to get out of the magazine well on the Finnfire Range. Looking forward to receiving them & giving them a try out.

Yours printed successfully overnight. After a bit of a shaky start to the project where, frankly, the mags weren't ready, the design has been refined and now they work really well. I need to double check the finned base will fit the factory mag - pretty sure it will. I might tweak the design a bit to make it stronger too

I've checked and the finned base does fit the factory mag. I'll be interested to hear how you get on with it.

Hi Rapidboy, Long time no speak! hope you are keeping well.
That's very interesting to find this post. I have just entered a local Benchrest comp with my 94s and was just looking for a single shot adaptor as they are using the NSRA rules that say a "Small-bore rifle can be used but must be single loaded" so I will be very keen to know how this works out. Best regards Paul
