Sako Finnfire P94S mag for under a fiver?

Here's the 13 round mag - haven't tested it yet and I suspect the spring will not be strong enough but it's designed using new software and the base is compatible with the factory magazines. I don't know what the limit is as at some point the spring will need to be so strong that it will probably push the follower through the top of the magazine. I have some thicker wire - could see what's possible...

Spanit. Read this thread with interest as just about to pickup a 94s. Are you still printing the 10 round mags? If so can I get a couple?
cheers

Yes and no. I've had some returns due to the spring going weak. Not solved this yet

Making a bit of progress. I wound a spring to the correct length. I then compressed it, both repeatedly and left overnight. It's shorter than it was, considerably so, but seems to be holding the new length, so I just need to make them longer

Been playing with Blender to render my designs in a photorealistic manner. This shows the new finned base that will retrofit onto a factory magazine:render11.webp

Have also had some made from transparent resin but they're not tested yet.

Hi, i know this an old thread but are you still making these ?, im looking for a single shot adaptor for a Finnfire 1 Range and maybe a couple more for the Finnfire 2 Range.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. The issue with trying to make a single shot adaptor is that the feed ramp is part of the follower and therefore spring loaded. On some other rifles, the feed ramp is incorporated into the body of the magazine itself, so having a solid/fixed follower is no problem. On these there's little advantage that I can see for not just using an empty magazine as an adaptor because a fixed feed ramp would block the bolt travel.

That said, on the range models, the stock is larger so a normal 5 shot magazine is difficult to extract. I've made finned bases that provide a gripping point to make them easier to pull out. It's a similar design to the Weihrauch HW60J magazine base.

Is the Finnfire 2 the quad? I did make a one off prototype for this, can't remember whether for 17HMR or 22LR but again, I'm sure I could provide bases that would retrofit to these. I don't have any OEM magazine for the Quad in my possession nor a rifle to test them on, though
