HWV sunburnt nose?

Any ideas? I think it’s sunburn. Tricky as they live outside and although usually seeks shade sometimes just snoozes in the sun. I guess cream a waste of time as will just lick it off

Had similar with a dog with black nose. She had a pink patch just as the hair thinned. We used a high spf cream, the kind that looks like a layer of paint once on. She didn’t seem to lick it off. Worked well enough for a day out on the hill in the summer. The zinc block (as seen on cricketers in Oz) might be worth a look.

good thinking

Definitely try sunblock but there are crusting and scaling dermatoses that can manifest at junctions with mucous membranes such as the nose. Are there any other lesions around the lips, eyes, anus etc. if this doesn’t heal in a week it would be worth getting it checked
