Roy 'Chubby' Brown . . . .

I never found Jasper Carrott funny. And my late father's opinion on Mike and Bernie Winters was accurate, five words, so to the point, but today maybe not PC?

So who gets to decide the point at which something should or shouldn’t be banned? If we ban Roy then what about someone slightly less offensive, do they cross the line or not. Then the person slightly less offensive than that?
What one person finds unacceptable another may not, so why does the more offended person get to make the choice for everyone else?

Lines are always drawn rather conveniently for the person drawing them, nobody is going to call for a ban on something they enjoy so why seek to curtail someone else’s pleasure because you don’t share that pleasure.

Censorship is a very slippery slope and should be avoided where at all possible.

Not a comedian I'm going to watch but ban him? Absolutely not. I don't see the point of 22 over paid Nancy boys kicking a ball about but I'm not for banning it. I hate whisky but should it be banned ? If something legal offends you don't watch it or buy tickets for the show or change channel on the TV. With all the ban it culture aimed at shooting and field sports it seem there are those in our ranks who are just as intolerant of others peoples legal enjoyment.

Have to disagree this time-what happened to free speech? It’s a comedy gig for people who pay and want to watch him. If people don’t like it don’t go. It’s a sad state of affairs when a British comedian (I agree controversial) gets banned from performing whilst the same like minded council stands by and watches when a group of radicalised muslims can stand on the corner and burn the union jack unchallenged or Black Lives Matter protesters smash shop windows and environmental activists deface buildings and people’s properties.

I don’t enjoy him, guess what I won’t go to see him live…as I don’t any other unfunny comedian.

Where I draw the line is a bunch of absolute plonkers in local authority deciding what I have the opportunity to see. What is more disturbing is the apathy we have to decisions like this. After all it’s off the back of 59 votes…hardly overwhelming. Leftist virtue signalling claptrap, and it’s just tolerated as the norm. Scary.

So it appears that support of racism, homophobia, and misogyny is alive and well on SD, and apparently perfectly ok as long as it's disguised as 'humour'? Interesting. Sorry guys, a fair few of you have gone way down in my estimation, although I very much doubt you'd give a hoot.

That's just it ,its humour .....chill out and take it for what it is.
That's why we now have this snowflake woke society that are offended by everything and cant have a laugh ffs

But jokes always make fun of someone or something, Englishman, Irishman, Scotsman or colour of hair, fat, short, tall people, cars you drive, gay, lesbian or whatever even Range Rovers and hedgehogs.

Opposing cancel culture certainly doesn’t mean we support or endorse any of that. Naturally being a millennial I’ve never heard of said comedian and probably wouldn’t enjoy him, however I’m a great believer that British people should be able to laugh at whatever they want. Gender neutral toilets and the likes offend people so why shouldn’t people be allowed to poke fun and make jokes about it even if it offends the lgbtq+ rainbow snowflakes.
