Species Id of a skull

I’d be grateful for opinions on this.

I think it’s roe. The person who found it and sent the photo thinks it’s sika. Any ideas?

Roe antlers dont generally sweep off the pedicles at an angle and to me the ratio of the size of the skull to the size of the pedicle is off for roe aswell

I stand ready to be corrected but that doesnt look anything like any roe head Ive seen
 
I think it's a roe. Too much pearling to be a Sika I think. Also, a Sika might have a ridge on the front side of antler where the brow tines will appear in the following years. Just my amateur opinion.
 
Size will be the determining factor, but you don’t often see long stems from which the antlers then grow - almost like a muntjac.

Really?

I've seen plenty of roe heads like that before, usually young bucks.


Only seen a couple of sika heads so couldn't comment on if that is common for sika but I would have said it is for roe.
