Agreed, with what's going on in the world , this is trivial in comparison.

Its not in the least trivial when you have one gender ( female in this case ) objecting to the appointment of the other gender to a position purely because of they perceive that the job should go to a woman.
Having unilaterally decided that the job should be gender specific, which is illegal, a campaign to oust the successful candidate is then pursued. The man has done nothing wrong, he is being sacked purely because he is a man.
Turn that around and object to, for example, female quotas in higher management and see how you get on.

Well said. Seems the wokery types have been hoisted on their own petard on this issue.
It is interesting watching them try and wriggle out of this one.
Imagine a man concerned about his Prostate insisting on only being seen by a male Doctor ?
I appreciate this is not a role for a Doctor but my argument stands.

Sadly you‘re right, unless theres a formal complaint, nothing will happen and a complaint is highly unlikely, men don’t do complaints. A case for unfair dismissal could be brought, but its unlikely to be defended so the most likely outcome wold be that compensation is paid with no admission of wrong doing and a confidentiality clause.
Some weeks later the job role is redefined, re-advertised and quietly awarded to a woman.

Chief officer for the soon to be formed “ have you wiped properly” action group, duties to include in depth research into the perceived problem in all ages and sex’s and to establish reasons for same. Consultation meeting planning and organising spot checks part of the interesting and varied role.
From There possible high office in the bottom inspectorate which ms truss will no doubt form.

Whilst I understand why you feel as you do, I do not however agree.
The "woke" (leftist liberati if you will) are actually in the minority but they make the most noise.
Taking your approach is, I am afraid, whilst completely understandable - as you are most likely a sensible person- playing exactly into the hands of those to whom you object.

I get your sentiment and you may be correct ,with that said , the woke agenda group maybe small but they have control of all of the mainstream platforms etc which gives them the power to control the narrative and silence and delete those that don't sign upto their message.

It's a parental responsibility to ensure that their child's physical and emotional needs are met.
I've just been to get some shaving foam from Tesco, and in the same aisle were sanitary products, the cheapest were 30 Maxi pads for 40p.
Child misses school because they are leaking and can't afford sanitary products, School Pastoral staff, Education Welfare or Children's Social Care go and do a home visit to offer advice and support on budgeting.
They look at income and expenditure and ascertain why a parent isn't able to find 80p a month to meet their child's needs and ensure that their child doesn't miss education.
We don't need steering groups, towel distributors, action plans etc, we need to stop handing out freebies to folk who have children but reckon they then can't feed them or meet their needs.

Have taken the view it’s dog eat dog world and nothing to do with me or my family somebody else’s problem, cannot help the church of the bleeding heart forever, wokes get your wallets out.
Clearly won’t work though as will be taxed or pay in other ways, least I can do is have no sympathy, tough, very tough
