I had my DSC 1 scheduled to start tomorrow but I just had a voicemail from BASC informing me that they have cancelled due to the trainer testing positive for covid. Rescheduled to the end of October but feel gutted to have done all of the preparation and build up to find out with less than 24-hours notice.

Just think of the bonus extra time you've now got for study. Better than catching covid, whatever.
Bad luck but just one of those things,, damned Covid has not gone away my sister in laws funeral was on Monday another of it's victims.
Sorry to hear that. In all honesty, I thought we were over all of that side of it since the vaccine rollout. My wife is in education and their guidance has basically been reduced to 'don't test for it and you won't even know you have it.
That's also why I was so surprised to have it cancelled.
As has been said, it gives a bit more prep time I suppose. It was just the build up of preparing and the excitement, followed by the sudden notice. Oh well

I have booked my assessment for Dec 3/4 in Wadhurst how are they going to catch up.

I only live junc 3 M25 so 30 mins drive still plenty of time to study and practice the new shooting test now.
That’s a bummer, especially when ur primed ready to go, relax for a while, study a bit more, and you will breeze it
You rebooked on the October replacement? I'm holding fire (chortle chortle) on my FAC until I have this under my belt. I'm East Sussex though (only just)

Don't hold back is my suggestion. Just state in the extra info section that your DSC is in progress. Remember it's not a prerequisite. Even a variation can take a glacial amount of time
Yep, I'll pop it in this weekend. Going to an Autumn Agriculture fair today and Sussex firearms licensing should be there so I'll feel them out on it. I've got a question for them regarding the doc sign off (form says for doc to email it over but my application asks me to upload it).

Look on training BASC are asking for people to contact them for DSC1 in Wadhurst this month if any help
That's the one they have rebooked me on.
